This is a seat mounted backrest. This is made by Show Chrome and is designed to attach through the OEM seat. Only the backrest pad perches through the driver seat which eliminates all side mounting brackets and the backrest hoop, making a very clean look. The backrest seat mount and backrest mount have been redesigned to incorporate a slide lock system that allows the backrest mount to attach through the seat opening onto two lock bolts that easily secures the backrest. A little lift and pivot forward or back, depending on fitment, allows the entire backrest pad and assembly to be removed in seconds with no above the seat hardware visible. This new backrest utilizes Big Bike Parts copyrighted backrest pad hinge and adjustable tongue, allowing the backrest pad to mount up or down with 1” of adjustment as well as pivoting with 3" of forward to back adjustment, allowing you to stretch while riding. Comes with complete instructions and all required hardware. Backrest includes storage pouch on passenger side. This will fit all Goldwing 1500's from 1988-2000.
