This is a quick out bar. This replacement bar is made by Utopia Products and is designed to work with the GL1800 Utopia backrest. It allows you to easily pull the backrest pad out of the seat without any tools for those times that you want to ride without it. It includes a cover that snaps shut to hide the hole when the backrest pad is out. This will fit all Goldwing 1800's from 2001-2017 with Utopia backrests installed. Utopia changed the hole pattern on the backrest mounting brackets a while ago so, you will have to look to see which you have and order accordingly. If your T-bar mounting bracket has two holes in a vertical pattern like in the picture, then order UQOB18-V. If your T-bar mounting bracket has four holes with two sets of horizontal pattern holes, then order UQOB18-H. If you are ordering this to go with a new backrest that you are ordering from us at this time, order the UQOB18-H.
